This year's program will be given by Sonya Nash from the Elkhart County (Indiana) Convention and Visitors Bureau. The topic of her program will be "Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail." The quilt gardens and murals tour is a one-of-a-kind experience designed to interest a wide-range of audiences. As Project Manager, Sonya coordinates all the details and provides leadership to the businesses and organizations that feature and develop the various gardens and murals. The entire tour features 36 quilt patterns in 7 unique communities in Northern Indiana. All official sites and patterns are juried into the program and Sonya will share information regarding the selection process, challenges, site background, "behind the scenes" details about last year's gardens and give us a peek at the "official" selections for 2012. Donna personally saw some of the 2011 sites when she visited the Shipshewana quilt show last June and they were truly awesome. Without a doubt, we will greatly enjoy Sonya's program.
